Ayres Hall

This construction project was to thank donators for their contributions to replace the benches inside Ayres Hall on the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville.  The cake is the center section of Ayres Hall and the clock tower.  All red velvet cake.

Champagne and Strawberry

For a special 21st birthday celebration, the theme for this cake was Champagne and Strawberries but subtly.  The cake inside is chocolate cake with kahlua buttercream.  The young lady's name is Taylor.

Grave Digger Monster Truck cupcake jump

Somehow its harder to impress the kids each year for their birthday cakes.  This year its the Grave Digger Monster Truck, and can't he just be suspended in mid air jumping over cars or something?  I worked all evening hand painting the detail on the truck and all the accolades from my son were '...oh...yeah, good job Mom...'.  He quickly learned how well that cut it for the effort put into his creations. :)

The Monster Truck is made from rice crispy treats and modeling chocolate and fondant, then hand painted with edible coloring.  The cupcakes are almond poppyseed with either raspberry or lemon filling, and swiss meringue buttercream frosting.

Classy Pink and Damask cake

This cake turned out just classy and elegant.  A 50th birthday celebration with a vanilla cake with raspberry swiss meringue butter cream filling.  Everything but the skewers holding up the numbers is edible.
