Venture Scouts Silver Award - minion

Today two wonderful teens were presented the honor of the silver award for their accomplishments in the Venture Scouts.  The two cakes were served at the reception following the ceremony.  Our minion Rachel was Red Velvet, and the Silver Award cake for Trevor was Chocolate Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

New Little Brave On The Way

A new little brave is expected for Hannah and Justin in just over a month and they are still working on decorating his room in southwestern style and patterns in modern colors.  Blue glass Ball jars and patterns in grey and yellow with bows and arrows will all come together to welcome him but one thing is certain, he'll be cute as a button with these two for parents.

The teepee cake is yellow cake with a peanut butter Swiss Meringue buttercream, and the blue Ball jar/button cake is chocolate cake with chocolate chip Swiss Meringue buttercream.  The buttons are fondant and made from a mold of my miscellaneous buttons pressed into a food grade silicone putty to make a flexible mold form.

Monstrous dinosaurs roam the earth...or just all over this little birthday cake.
