Classic Pooh

This sweet little baby shower cake was a spice cake with maple buttercream filling.  Classic Pooh tiles on the sides of the cake made from fondant, hand molded and edged.  They're 2 dimensional but popping off the tile a little, so almost 3D.  Eeyore on top is fondant/gumpaste and entirely edible.

This was my baby shower cake, and I can’t tell you enough how much I loved it! The time and attention you put to the detail was/is amazing! My wonderful boss and equally wonderful co-worker (it doesn’t hurt to suck up here and there, does it?) who organized my shower had been telling me just how incredible this cake was going to be. They wouldn’t give me any details about it, other than to say that “this isn’t your mother’s baby shower cake!” Classic Pooh is a favorite theme of mine (in fact it is what our baby’s nursery is done in) and Eeyore has always been my favorite character! I was in awe when I saw the cake, and my love of it didn’t stop there! The cake tasted superb! I loved everything about it from the flying butterflies to the stitching on the Eeyore topper. You are a very talented cake artist! Thank you so much, this cake couldn’t have been more perfect!

  2. Thank you so much Breanne, it was so much fun to make and its a cake that just makes me smile. Congratulations on your coming bundle of joy! TJ

  3. Spicy cake..seems yummy and the Eeyore is looking nice on top and the tiles which you added at side makes this cake more beautiful.
